January – Application for The King’s Royal Warrant

We were invited as holders of The Late Queens Royal Warrant for Removals & Storage Contractors to apply for a Royal Warrant of Appointment to His Majesty The King. We were required to complete detailed questionnaires, providing comprehensive answers to ensure our eligibility. Alongside these, supporting documentation was submitted to verify qualifications, experience, and suitability for receiving this prestigious royal honour.

We were very proud to receive confirmation of attaining The Kings Royal Warrant for Removals and Storage Contractors[LM1]  in December 2024.


February – Carbon Capture Appears in Another Transport Magazine

February saw Abels Moving Services take the spotlight as they featured in another transport magazine, highlighting our success with Advanced Hydrogen Technologies’ Carbon Capture device. With Carbon Capture, we achieved an impressive 91.4% reduction in particulate emissions for HGVs. Read the article here. Additionally, Abels attended the Surface Design Show in London, an excellent opportunity to engage with industry leaders and explore innovative materials that complement their premium services.


March – Abels’ New EV Van

In March, We  took another big step toward sustainability with the addition of a brand-new electric van to our fleet. The zero-emission vehicle reinforces Abels’ commitment to greener logistics while delivering the same reliable service our customers expect.


April – Living Wage Foundation

In April, we moved to support the Living Wage Foundation as a Living Wage Employer. By paying the living wage, we ensure our employees can earn a wage that is enough to live on. This milestone reflects our ongoing commitment to supporting our employees by providing fair pay that meets the true cost of living, going beyond the national minimum wage.


May – Abels Attends Elite London

We were thrilled to attend the Elite London event on Wycombe Airfield. The show features over 150 luxury lifestyle brands in one place, offering a unique opportunity to display and discuss many of the services that Abels has to offer. We welcomed many of our partners and associates to our display stand as well as promoting our new electric van.


June – Abels Heads to Portugal

In June, Abels Moving Services proudly took part in the Fine & Country International Day in Estoril, Portugal. The event brought together global estate agents and industry professionals, offering a unique opportunity to discuss trends in the international property market and explore new business opportunities.


July – Sandringham Flower Show

Abels attended the 141st Sandringham Flower Show following a long-standing relationship with the Sandringham Association of Royal Warrant Holders. It was an honour to attend the event alongside such a distinguished group of guests.

August – We Passed Our FAIM-Plus Audit

In August we passed the annual FIDI FAIM-Plus Quality Assessment audit, reaffirming Abels’ commitment to excellence in international moving standards. This prestigious accreditation highlights our dedication to quality, professionalism, and exceptional customer care. Membership provides access to like-minded moving companies around the world. September – Haddenham Steam and Heavy Horse Show

As September rolled around, we took our historical vehicles to the Haddenham Steam and Heavy Horse Show, an event we’ve proudly supported for many years. This year’s show was another wonderful opportunity to connect with the community, support deserving charities and celebrate the rich heritage of working horses, steam power and historical commercial transport.


October – Buckingham Palace!

In October, we were thrilled to attend Buckingham Palace to receive a commendation for our work on the North Wing reservicing project. It was an incredible honour to be recognised for our team’s dedication and expertise in handling such a prestigious and complex project, and we are proud to have contributed to the preservation of such an iconic building.


November – Anglo French European Removals joined the group

In November, Abels Moving Services welcomed our new sister company Anglo French Removals. This new acquisition by the AGM group boosts our ability to offer even better relocation services between the UK and France, making international moves smoother for our customers. Additionally, we had the pleasure of attending the iconic London to Brighton Veteran Car Run, where we celebrated the rich history of veteran (built pre 1905) vehicles and connect with fellow enthusiasts, assisting participants with their transportation services.


December – Lambeth Palace

In December, after a three-year renovation project, Abels successfully completed the installations at Lambeth Palace. This significant achievement involved intricate planning and execution, ensuring the preservation of the palace’s rich history while incorporating modern elements. We’re proud to have played a key role in bringing this historic landmark back to life.

As we reflect on 2024, it’s been an exciting and eventful year for Abels Moving Services!

From expanding our international capabilities with the acquisition of Anglo French Removals, to being recognised with a commendation at Buckingham Palace. We’ve continued to push the boundaries of excellence. We’re also proud of our team’s efforts in sustainability, with the introduction of electric vehicles and our commitment to the Living Wage Foundation.
