Focusing on improving our carbon footprint by ensuring that sales team vehicles and company cars are all energy efficient with a growing EV fleet. Our company mileage and fuel consumption are closely monitored, adhering to the Euro 6 emission standards, to minimising our overall carbon footprint. In addition, all our team fleets undergo regular assessments and training to ensure safe driving practices and reduce maintenance costs.
Eco-Friendly Packaging and Recycling Initiatives
As an environmentally friendly initiative, we ensure that we only use recycled cardboard for packing and storage. In the event that extra padding or card coverings are needed, for example in the moving of antiques and fine art, we repurpose cartons from import shipments to help minimise waste.
Our commitment to recycling extends beyond our packaging. We have a designated skip for cardboard and paper waste, as well as another for wood products. All these materials are subsequently collected and sent for recycling, promoting a healthy environmentally friendly cycle.
A key recycling initiative that we hold close to our hearts here at Abels is waste prevention through donation. We assist our clients in reducing waste by offering the disposal of unwanted personal belongings through Abels’ nominated charity and Young People Littleport, further contributing to the community.
