Our Charitable Work

Abels Moving Services Charitable Work

Abels Moving Services has a proud and long tradition of supporting both national and local charities that benefit our communities and the environment.

Abels supports East Anglian Air Ambulance services

East Anglian Air Ambulance

East Anglian Air Ambulance saves lives by delivering highly skilled doctors and critical care paramedics by air or car to seriously ill or injured. Covering Norfolk, Suffolk, Cambridgeshire and Bedfordshire 24 hours a day, 7 days a week by air and road.

Armed Forces Covenant

The Armed Forces Covenant is a promise by the nation ensuring that those who serve or who have served in the armed forces, and their families, are treated fairly.

In 2022, Abels Moving Services signed the Armed Forces Covenant (AFC) in the presence of Squadron Leader Mark Fixter, at our head office in Brandon, Suffolk

East Anglia's Children's Hospice

East Anglia’s Children’s Hospices

East Anglia’s Children’s Hospices supports families and care for children and young people with life-threatening conditions across Cambridgeshire, Essex, Norfolk and Suffolk. Our care and support is tailored for the needs of all family members and delivered where the families wish – at their own home, at hospital, in the community or at one of three hospices in Ipswich, Milton and Quidenham.

Norfolk's Cancer Charity

Big C

The Big C helps patients and families through their cancer diagnosis, treatment, life and sometimes death to help bear what can feel unbearable. For over thirty years, the Big C has helped raise over £20 million, allowing hospitals to have up-to-date surgical and diagnostic equipment as well as contribute towards research conducted at the UEA.

The Trussell Trust

Consider donating food to families in need when you choose Abels Moving Services for your move. Families facing poverty often rely on emergency food supplies provided by food banks, and the demand for these supplies is increasing according to statistics. To support this cause, we have partnered with the Trussell Trust to make it convenient for our customers to donate food. If you have any unopened tinned or non-perishable foods with a 3-month shelf-life that you no longer need, simply inform your Abels representative, and they will provide you with our charity cartons and labels as part of your move. Your contribution can make a significant difference in the lives of those in need.
