Abels Awarded ISO 14001 Certification on Environmental Management

Abels have been awarded the ISO 14001 certification for Environmental Management.

The final stage of the certification process is an on site audit by an independent Auditor, this was recently carried out over a 2 day period. Abels have passed the audit and now hold the ISO 14001 standard.

The ISO14001 is an internationally agreed standard which sets out the requirements for an environmental management system. It helps organisations such as Abels to improve their environmental performance through more efficient use of resources and reduction of waste, and better working practices.

Like all ISO management system standards, ISO 14001 includes the need for continual improvement of organisation systems, in addition to environmental practices to uphold the certification.

All of Abels is committed to helping and protecting the environment.

Following our success of obtaining ISO 14001, we have agreed to start the certification process for OHSAS 18001 for Health & Safety. The process of obtaining this standard through various processes is expected to take most of the remainder of 2016 before a final audit later in this year.
