For customers planning on moving to North America, Abels Moving Services have been updated by our agents about delays at the rail operations at the port of Norfolk International Terminals (NIT) in Virginia.

The Norfolk International Terminals (NIT) located in Norfolk, Virginia, continue to experience rail operations delays due to an implementation of new rail conveyance systems.

This ongoing process is anticipated to be completed by the end of May. Meanwhile, there are long delays for inbound containers being transferring to the rail ramps for final inland destinations.

Congestion issues are being addressed as first in, first out. Containers with final destination port Norfolk are not affected.

For customers moving to North America please call your Abels customer liaison on their direct line or call head office on +44(0)1842 816600 or email shipping@abels.co.uk
