Moving to Israel – Passover Holiday Likely Congestion

For customers planning on moving to Israel, Abels Moving Services have been reminded by our agents in Israel on the effects of shipping items around the period of the Passover Holiday.

This year in 2014 the Passover Holiday in Israel runs from between the 14th April until the 22nd April. During this time imports of personal and household goods will be impossible. This is due to the Israel Customs taking Annual Leave over this period, thus stopping Customs Clearance.

Abels Moving Services will not be sending any shipments to arrive in Israel during the mentioned holiday period in order to avoid any demurrage or storage charges for our customers. Thank you for your kind understanding.

There is likely to be major delays and congestion at ports in Israel for the two weeks before the Passover Holiday Period. Therefore it is recommended to delay shipping items until after the holiday period.
