For those planning moving to China, we have been provided with the following advise from our agents.

When moving to China please be advised with shipments to Shanghai in China they will undergo an X-ray inspection. Boxes containing books and electronic appliances are systematically opened by customs for physical inspection.

Therefore to minimise risk of damage, to fragile items it is advisable not to pack these fragile items such as glassware and ceramics with books and electronic items. The fragile items should be packed in separate boxes.

For customers moving to China please call your Abels customer liaison on their direct line or call head office on +44(0)1842 816600 or email shipping@abels.co.uk
