Shipping to China – Heavy Congestion to be Expected

Planning on shipping to China? – heavy congestion is to be expected over the next 2 months.

We have been reminded by local partners to expect a heavy backlog of shipments at Chinese ports as the country celebrates the Mid-Autumn Festival in September and the National Holiday in October.

To ensure that your shipments are not delayed and to avoid unnecessary port storage charges, please follow the recommended dates for shipment arrival.

Please talk to your Abels Customs Liaison contact on their direct number or call +1842 816600 or email shipping@abels.co.uk to discuss the best dates for packing and loading working back from the below dates to avoid delays and possible added costs.

Incoming sea shipments:

2. If shipping to Shanghai – FCL shipments should arrive at Shanghai Port no later than 12 September, 2011.
