How do you prepare for my moving day?

Whether you’re moving in the UK or abroad, it’s never too early to make a start. Even though our packers are experts, it’s still a good idea to start sorting out the essentials well in advance.

  • Clear out unwanted items from attics, cellars, garages and sheds
  • Disconnect appliances.
  • Dismantle fixtures and fittings.
  • Defrost refrigerators and freezers.
  • Thoroughly clean outdoor equipment (unless these items have been included within our proposal to you).
  • Keep items you don’t want packed separate, such as essential travel documentation.

After that, we will take care of handling valuable items and your precious possessions with our expert packing service.

How early should I be planning to make arrangements?

We recommend enquiring about our services around 2-3 months prior to your planned moving date. This gives us ample time to book and plan for your smooth move. However, you can look up to a year ahead if you consider currency, fuel, cost of living, shipping and airline charges.

How many days will it take to move if I am moving overseas?

This depends on a number of factors, such as the volume of possessions to be moved, whether you have decided to pack yourselves, and the access challenges at your property. Whatever your house move entails, we will try to make it as stress-free as possible with our door-to-door international relocation services, including your own Customer Services Manager. Are the removal men fully trained and security checked?

All our employees spend one week with our training supervisor within a purpose-built house located within our warehouse. Using a full array of possessions, removal teams practice packing and handling chandeliers, protecting and moving pianos, dismantling assembly and movement of grand pianos, making barometers safe for packing and transportation, preparing artworks, antiques, and sculptures. They learn best practice for the safe packing of fine china and figurines. The packing they learn is far from simple– their skill means damages are avoided when removal teams from around the world perform the unpacking. Who arranges parking bay suspensions?

How do we safeguard the well-being of our drivers and others on the road?
