The region around Chennai is battling with one of the worst floods in the past decade due to incessant rain which has this year claimed the lives of nearly 188 people.

Around Chennai many of the roads have been washed away and there are only minimum air flights operating out of Chennai. The operations at the Chennai Port are still being impacted. This is still causing delays to people moving to and from Chennai and the surrounding areas in India.
