Felixstowe Port – UK Port Contingency Plan

Abels have been advised by shipping lines of ongoing IT problems at Felixstowe Port.

The ongoing IT problems, reported in the national press at the Port of Felixstowe has resulted low productivity. This has caused significant vessel delays. As a result, the following contingency plan is being implemented to reduce the disruption caused to your business and to ensure shipping lines are able to deliver cargo in the most timely manner possible under current circumstances.

Some services will be diverted from the Port of Felixstowe to The Port of Southampton as from week next 25, for the following four weeks.

The below vessels are to be diverted to Southampton to discharge import and load export cargo.
