For those planning moving to Ghana, we have been advised of the closure of Berth 12 at the Port of Tema.
The construction of berth 12 has commenced on 1 June 2013 at the port of Tema in Ghana. Berth 12 will be closed for vessel traffic and cargo operators until June 2015. The alternative berth in service has inconsistent operating times, causing further hold-ups.
Those moving to Ghana are advised there will be significant delays to exports and imports, due to the congestion of the port. Additional demurrage and storage charges are foreseeable.
