Today 26th October 2015, Abels has been visited by Tom van den Berg, QHSE Manager of Harmony Relocation B.V. , Netherlands.
Tom’s visit to Abels is part of the process to certify Abels for the quality standard of ISO 14001. There are a number of processes to be undertaken in order obtain certification, and this visit marks Abels’ commitment to achieving ISO14001.
Abels are being guided by Tom, whose responsibilities include reviewing and maintaining Quality Management Systems ISO9001 and ISO14001, as well as OHSAS18001.
The ISO14001 is an internationally agreed standard which sets out the requirements for an environmental management system. It helps organisations such as Abels to improve their environmental performance through more efficient use of resources and reduction of waste, and better working practices.
Like all ISO management system standards, ISO 14001 includes the need for continual improvement of organisation systems, in addition to environmental practices to uphold the certification.
