Cardiff is the capital city of Wales, and home to the Welsh Assembly. With a population of over 800,000 it is the UK’s 11th largest metropolitan area, and by far the largest conurbation in Wales.

It has the Millenium sports stadium,which will be a football venue for the 2012 London Olympics, Cardiff Casle and Cardiff Bay as notable landmarks. The city hosted the Commonwealth Games in 1958.
