On the 12th of October 2023, the BIID UK Interior Design Awards 23 illuminated the elegant interiors of London’s historic Drapers’ Hall. This highly anticipated event celebrated the outstanding achievements of interior designers from across the UK, and amidst the stunning backdrop of this magnificent venue, Abels stood proudly as a key sponsor of the event, a supporter and collaborator in the world of interior design.

The awards ceremony, held in the grandeur of Drapers’ Hall, was a spectacle to behold, with the venue’s rich history providing a fitting backdrop for recognising and celebrating excellence in interior design. The event was graced by 200 industry professionals, each eagerly awaiting the announcement of the winners.
Amongst the triumphant design projects, the coveted “Interior of the Year” award went to Studio Found for their remarkable work on “The Libertine”, a breathtaking hospitality space located within the historic Royal Exchange. This prestigious accolade recognised Studio Found’s outstanding creativity and innovation, setting a high standard for interior design excellence in the UK.
The celebration did not end there, as awards were also presented to seven regional category winners, acknowledging the diverse and exceptional talent scattered across the country. In addition, the “Anna Whitehead Prize,” a tribute to the best achievement in sustainable interior design, further highlighted the industry’s commitment to environmentally conscious design.
