Driving Ban in Italy – New

Italian officials have made public knowledge that Thursday March 17th has been declared as a public holiday in Italy to celebrate the 150th anniversary of the unity of Italy.

Abels Moving Services has been made aware that a ban will be brought in place.

A driving ban in Italy will apply to vehicles above 7,5 t between 08:00 and 22:00 hours of Thursday 17th of March 2011

These vehicles are allowed to circulate within cities and provinces (districts) where they are registered, without any transit on Italian highways.

Drivers who do not respect the ban, might risk license suspension, in case of accidents, even minor accidents as well as normal fines etc.
