The group stages a reception every year to mark St. George’s Day. This year it was held in the the Commonwealth Parliamentary Association Room, adjoining the historic Westminster Hall, in the House of Commons on Thursday, April 23.

The reception started with the arrival of Miss England, Miss Laura Coleman, in an open-top Lotus Elise, and her procession through Westminster Hall. She then greeted the various guests.

There were several speeches during the reception; Andrew Rosindell MP, chairman of the St. George’s Day APPG; John Watson, UK managing director of Abels Moving Services; Bruno Peek, to talk about The Loving Cup oof England; and finally, Miss England to do the toast to England and St. George.

Miss England then went out into Parliament Square and handed out red roses to the public.
