Import services when moving back to the UK
Many of our previous customers who we move overseas ask for our services to be used on their return journey back to the UK. Indeed a large proportion of our imports will be customers who contact Abels directly to discuss arranging the shipment from overseas back to the UK from our offices here in the UK.

We can provide the full service normally expected of ‘destination agents’ involving the receipt, customs clearance and re-delivery to a residence anywhere in the UK.

All Abels import customers will have their own Customer Liaison Manager who will undertake all the necessary paperwork and documentation which is needed for customs clearance formalities. Following clearance a mutually agreed delivery date will be arranged. At which time you will be met at your home by a dedicated team from Abels to help prepare your new home to then undertake delivery as required.

There are various shipping options when moving back to the UK, depending upon the volume and urgency. These range from a dedicated container, through LCL (less than container load) and Groupage, to airfreight. Please view our guidance on shipping options, on airfreight and on unaccompanied baggage.
