REMOVERS DELIVER QUALITY HAT TRICK
Abels Moving Services starts the New Year with a hat trick of accreditations. The East Anglian firm has had its two quality assurance accreditations (ISO 9001 and FIDI FAIM) audited and renewed, to add to the Investors In People (IIP) accreditation renewed earlier this year, resulting in a full set for 2009.
For the 15th year in succession, Abels’ quality assurance (ISO 9001-2000) has been renewed. BSI (British Standards Institute), which carried out the audit, praised Abels’ staff development, delivered through an in-house training school at the company’s Brandon headquarters, which helped to provide “excellent” customer service.
FIDI FAIM (FIDI* Accredited International Mover) is recognised worldwide as the quality mark for international removals. The biannual reassessment process is comprehensive and very detailed. Ernst & Young, based in Belgium, undertook the independent on-site audit, which included reviewing customer feedback, facilities and equipment, insurance claims, all documentation, financial stability and an examination of staff knowledge of international moving, to ensure they all met clients’ needs and demands.
Abels’ group managing director, Philip Pertoldi, said: “These accreditations are all about quality of service and customer satisfaction, which are at the top of our agenda as a company. They are a splendid achievement for the Abels team, gained without any non- compliances.
“IIP is recognition that we invest in our staff, providing in-depth training to ensure that they can deliver a quality service. ISO 9001 and FIDI FAIM accreditation are an acknowledgement that we have the knowledge, resources, systems and procedures in place to ensure that the quality of service we deliver is second to none.
“It means that when customers come to us, they know they are in safe hands and we also have the financial stability to complete the contract.”
Abels also had its Royal Warrant for removals & storage services to H.M. the Queen reviewed in 2008, and subsequently extended. The firm has held a Royal Warrant since 1989.
