Lianne's top employee award from top company

Lianne Slezacek, who works as a receptionist and administrator and lives in Weeting, Norfolk, has been elected Abels Moving Services’ ‘2007 Employee of the Year’.

The prestigious award’s aim is to recognise, reward and celebrate employee hard work, commitment and contribution to the firm’s business success. Its measurement criteria are attitude, achievement, professionalism, innovation, reliability and responsibility. Candidates are chosen by their colleagues who rank them against each criterion. Each nomination is then submitted to Abels’ board, with the final decision made by its directors.

To celebrate Lianne’s achievement, an award ceremony was held when Philip Pertoldi, Abels’ group managing director, presented her with a certificate of recognition, the magnificent and highly regarded silver trophy, a bottle of champagne and 125 in vouchers.

Philip Pertoldi said: “Lianne, who has been with us for four years, has an essential role in being the first point of contact for most of our customers, and has made an impressive contribution to our business and colleagues right from the start.

Abels was the first firm to be granted a Royal Warrant for Removals & Storage to H.M. the Queen. It operates from three centres in the UK – Brandon in Suffolk, and Huntingdon and Ely in Cambridgeshire – providing national and international home and office removals, specialist relocation and packing services, and the home delivery of new furniture for both retailers and manufacturers.
