The introduction of GST is part of the Indian Government’s tax reform programmed to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the existing taxation system. GST is replacing all the major taxes levied by Central Government and State Governments in India. Goods and services taxability is brought under one regime of GST.

As declared by the GST committee, GST will be implemented by the Government of India from July 1st, 2017.

The % of GST applicable for the Relocation business will hopefully be ascertained by June 23rd, 2017. The new GST rates that will be applicable on moves that are being executed in/from 1st July 2017.

Please note the move booking date and the starting of operations of the move can be before 1st July, 2017, however if completion of the move is on/after 1st July 2017 then the GST will be applicable on all taxable charges of the move.
